downhill f learning the terminal is a steep learning curve, then Linux is not for the user.
Solus disagrees.
downhill Even MacOS requires some relearning if you're coming from Windows
macOS follows very similar usage patterns to Windows. Having to relearn navigation and how to install a .dmg is not at all on the same level as having to learn how to use a terminal and interact directly with a package manager (something that neither Windows nor macOS have historically had or required a user to use directly).
It's not lazy for my 65 yr old mother with zero formal computer training to not have to learn how to use a terminal just so that she can use her computer. It's not lazy for my pre-teen niblings to not have to learn how to use a terminal just so that they can get on to the internet and watch Arthur. People should also be allowed to learn at their own pace and that means the rest of us should be willing to be accommodating and respectful of their needs too.
downhill Learning is a lifetime pursuit. Never stop learning. ;-)
Then it's not too late for you to learn a little empathy. ;-)
