Budgie lock option not working

I'm a regular solus budgie user. Today I wanted to tryout gnome and installed gnome as instructed in solus website. When I log into budgie I noticed that screen-locking is not working. Then I installed lightdm lightdm-gtk-greeter lightdm-settings removed gdm and rebooted my pc. But locking is still not working. Did I missed something?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

algent Thanks for the reply. But that didn't work. I found a solution online

This is not a complete solution cause budgie panel applet still dont lock my pc. This command works.

dm-tool lock

To make it more convenient go to settings -> Keyboard -> Scroll to the bottom -> Click "+" button -> Create new custom shortcut using the command above
