WetGeek These guys have a point about physical access. I, too, was taken aback by @stalebrim 's easy instructions. (Cut and pasted in case I screw up, thank you!). If someone breaches your home then sits in your chair and breaches your computer, then that's physical level, whether you let them in or not.
As far as WIN10 vs. Linux security (ethernet/wifi) it's still no contest. The W10 EULA says you are leasing an OS, not owning it, and everything you mistakenly believed was yours and private is really theirs and likely will belong to third parties, too, and they are up front about it. Read it, it's unreal to me. Linux has no such philosophy and has many tools/ programs to safeguard against this. (my understanding of this issue, anyway). So sizeable edge goes to linux imho/asfaik
