VLC has issues when running videos!

The VLC media player runs into a few issues when I am playing videos on it.

The fullscreen interface does not always 'show up' when I hover the pointer over the video.
When I tried to play a video I made using a smartphone, the video freezes. However, the audio component of the video runs as expected (while the video is frozen). Trying to run this particular video crashes VLC as well.
Clicking on 'restart playback from where I left off' did not work when I was running a DVD.
The video has a slight stutter when playing DVDs (genuine).

Please run VLC from a terminal and when it crashes it might show important log information that could help diagnose.

dlalinsp Looks like your phone may have skewed the video/audio and the decoder is having issues reading it. Other videos play OK?

Yeah! However, that is the only video that I have on my laptop that I 'made' using the smartphone. The other videos work splendidly (including 'internet' videos that were downloaded on to the phone) on VLC. What do you mean by my 'phone may have skewed the audio/video'? I am not very well versed in such technicalities. 😅 Is there any chance of fixing this? I am sorry for the late reply, by the way!

The video might not have been ended correctly and the index might be out. Try recording another video on your phone to test.

Never mind, after installing the hardware drivers(nvidia) everything is running
