No thumbnails in Okular sidebar (Budgie)

I wanted to give Okular a try on Budgie, but one feature is missing, which is the thumbnail view in the sidebar.
I only see the Contents tab (which is of course useful, but I use the thumbnail view a lot).
Is this a problem related to using it on Budgie? Is there a solution or should I switch back to the default document viewer?

YoniV I don't use Okular, but about the tabs it was votet to be that way. Check the poll here: https://discuss.getsol.us/d/6824-question-for-all-okular-user

algent Thanks, by tabs I meant that in the sidebar itself there are a few "tabs": contents, thumbnails, bookmarks (if any) etc.
In terms of tabs for different PDFs, I'm perfectly happy with that option.

Girtablulu Does that mean my installation is corrupt or something? I installed it straight from the repo. Now tried to reinstall but no luck...

EDIT: I now checked with other PDFs, and here's a slight correction: It seems that whenever the PDf has a table of contents, it shows it by default (and without the expected buttons to switch to other modes), but otherwise it does show the thumbnails. So it's not the inexistence of thumbnails, but the inability to switch modes.
