I'm a regular user of blender. In fact, blender was one of the reason why I wanted to switch from windows to linux, since blender should render faster on linux. However, the blender version which I downloaded from the software store doesn't let me use cuda or optix. In fact, it kinda seems like id doesn't even know that I have graphics card. But i'm using nvidia gtx 1660. I have installed the drivers via doflicky.
In the other hand, the appimage version of blender works just fine. But it does seem like it renders a bit slow, and I'm wondering if it's because it is in fact an appimage.
I tried to search for answers, and I did find something relating to cuda problems, but those were long time ago and I didn't really understand if there is a fix for this or no.
