So I'm doing multiple hours a week of web meetings these days, and my older mini-pc doesn't have an onboard mic, and I can't pair my Galaxy Buds+ and use that for a mic either. So I'm looking at getting a Blue Snowball iCE USB mic to use (No, I don't have a webcam either. I use droidcam, but the mic doesn't work through that for me). Does anyone here have experience using this type of microphone on Solus or another distro? Is the quality good enough to have it sitting 20-30" away from me and still be heard clearly without too much background noise?
Other question, my PC doesn't have a dedicated 3.5mm or 2.5mm microphone jack, just a combination audio 3.5mm port. Will it still register the microphone with my speakers plugged into that port if the microphone is USB only?
