brent Dean you know what really as me drooling in that picture? That cropped-out Peroni. Now that is good lager. That pizza is handsome, too. edit: Lucien_Lachance loooove the onions but it pairs so much better with sausage than pepperoni, that is if we are talking meat combinations of course.
stalebrim CorvusRuber I like being fractally wrong. synth-ruiner How it turned out? Did you use that combo?
synth-ruiner I like olives, mushrooms and jalapeño 🙂 maybe (vegan) sausage too. I made pizza dough from scratch recently, it wasn't too hard and was very fun!
Staudey stalebrim CorvusRuber I like being fractally wrong. No matter how close one looks there are always new facets to your wrongness.
synth-ruiner stalebrim it was good! I just had olives and jalapeño that time. bit misshapen but I don't mind! Dean Yes it's good but have you tried Birra Moretti? Moretti rules.
CorvusRuber Dean Yes it's good but have you tried Birra Moretti? Moretti is an honest brand, but if you want to go with something very good while industrial go with Menabrea
brent synth-ruiner I have never gotten homemade crust right at home, even with directions...little EVOO around the ridges will tan that crust nice though. I just had dinner and I feel I can eat this as well. That's how good your pic is. I make my own crushed red pepper--that's all that's missing🙂!
CorvusRuber Dean Another more than good brand is Poretti, especially the 5,6 and 7 hops variants. I'm especially fond of the 7 hops winter variant, the honey scented "La Mielizia".
Dean CorvusRuber Yes, Poretti it's good, but I don't like Mielizia, not too fond of honey beers. Even thou I like Italian beers, I think Beligian beers are better (no offence in case you are italian). A really good one it's Biere Du Boucanier Golden.
CorvusRuber kaktuspalme Pizza and beer go hand in hand. And to stay on topic: gorgonzola and taggiasche olives for topping with a Belgian Blanche Poretti to drink.
Bhibb Currently sausage and garlic/basil are my favorite toppings! There's this pizza place called Killer Pizza From Mars up the street and they do a fantastic job. Plus their Thursday two-for-one deal is my weekly temptation.
CorvusRuber Dean Belgian beers are better for sure, tradition and experience count. It's not so much that beer has risen to prominence in Italy, until not so much time ago it was seen as a "poor man's drink" and nothing more.
