Switched to Budgie, now lightdm greeter does not start on laptop wake

I switched to Budgie today (manjaro) and I like it so far. My only major issue is that the configured lightdm greeter (lightdm-webkit2-greeter) that I set in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
greeter-session=lightdm-webkit2-greeter
only starts on boot, not when waking from suspend (or hibernate, I am not exactly sure and haven't figured out how to change that outside of my old window and settings managers). Sorry if this is a stupid question. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Why did you have to modify anything yourself? Can't you just revert?

sk-spr Just an FYI, but this forum is dedicated to Solus (the linux distribution) rather than Budgie (the desktop environment). Since you mention you're using Budgie on Manjaro, you might have better luck trying to reach out to the Manjaro community. That's not to say users here don't want to help you (as you have already seen), but you shouldn't expect any official support from the devs.

systemctl enable lightdm.service
systemctl unmask lightdm.service

changing
user-session=xfce
to
user-session=budgie
has fixed some other weirdness but not this issue.
