You could try using bluetooth. If all else fails, use the WiFi Transfer Pro app. I have used it for a few years now and it has always worked well for me. Just make sure you don't log out when using WiFi Transfer Pro. Just clear your browser cache and then close the browser.

pnbalaji1974 If you get the error again, leave the phone connected with permission, open a terminal and type mount to see if the phone is connected correctly.

You can also try checking it's permissions like this:
lsusb
See if you can find your phone on the list, note the "Bus 00X" of the phone and use this number here:
ls -l /dev/bus/usb/00X/*

have you tried kdeconnect app . it is in the software center . also there is a snap app called android-file-transfer-linux .

Just a suggestion here, consider trying Warpinator from the Linux Mint team.
It's available as a flatpak and is also now available as an android app from the Play store.
OK it's in beta but still seems to work well.

seanragout I have tried it. Works between 2 PCs, but android (unofficial) app doesn't see my PC.

AFAIK there's not, I'd love to see kdeconnect implemented as an applet for budgie, I'm not programmer so, I have to wait for some one to do that, mean wile I'm using kde-connect as it is in budgie, some troubleshut needed to see android file system though.

i am using solus budgie desktop right now. kde connect will work with budgie . all snaps and flatpak apps are sand boxed and self contained and should work regardless of what desktop environment you use ..

i also use kstars and kdenlive both kde applications in budgie which is a gnome fork and have had no issues.

sorry you are correct that gnome is gtk based as is budgie . i was just simplifing a bit in my reply . my main point is that kde applications such as kde connect and kdenlive will still work in budgie or gnome . you do not have to fully install the kde desktop in order to use kde applications. sometimes kde applications work better in a gtk desktop envirnoment than when a user is using plasma desktop natively.
