Solus mate no longer boots

Hello

I wanted to put an SD card on my laptop. And it didn't want to go up.

I then restarted the pc, and the screen remained stuck on the bios. (black screen with ACER in green).
I removed the SD card and booted with F12. I selected my ssd and after the screen remains black.
I have no error message. The screen is just black.

I am currently in usb live because I don't know how to fix the problem and how to get to the command prompt.

FYI, I installed Wine today but didn't have time to use it. I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

Did you try dropping to a tty terminal? Press Ctrl + Alt + F2 to do that. If your system works that way, it's an xorg problem I guess

I just tested the command when the screen is black. it does not matter.

when i'm live, my sdd doesn't want to go up. I cannot retrieve my documents. it's normal?

Certainly not normal. Dunno if it works from a live session, but can you paste the output of inxi -Fxz? That info often helps in ruling in/out problems.

Is it really true that you can mount an SSD from within a live session? I've never tried that, but it seems odd to me.

WetGeek Before coming to solus, I used LMDE. In an LMDE live session, I could do that (and also run timeshift from there). Also, I mounted my internal hdd in solus live session but unsure about an SSD, unless it's the internal one.

hazel-bunny I've not had an issue mounting any drive in any linux live I've tried, solid state or mechanical via SATA or mechanical or flash via USB. Haven't tried a portable (USB) SSD but cannot logically see why it would be different? I might simply be unenlightened. As for the OP an inxi -Fxz paste from a live session might be beneficial, as hazel mentioned.

I guess it's just that you can't write to it from a live USB key, right. Or can you actually do that as well, if Solus is already installed on that machine? The whole idea of a live USB key is supposed to be that it won't do anything to your installed system unless you explicitly choose to install it.

Just wanted to let you know that I am stuck on a black screen as well. I did an update via eopkg not 5 minutes ago, then everything broke. I guess something went wrong, even though I got no error message. Since OP installed wine through presumably eopkg, I assume that's the real reason for the black screen, not the SD card.
Going to another terminal via Ctrl + Alt + F2 shows a frozen white cursor ( _ ) in the top left corner.

Hardware: Lenovo Laptop Ideapad 330s
I am running a Gnome desktop, so it's not Mate either. Since the last package I updated was systemd, my guess would be there.

Can the installation be saved, or should I just put a fresh image on?

Hello

I just ordered inxi live
For information, my ssd (emmc is 32gb and I normally have 10gb free)

The 8go usb is my usb key for live

My USB keys and my SD cards want to mount live, but not my eMMC ssd.
My boot problem probably comes from there.
I can not change the eMMC ssd, it is soldered.
Is it a driver problem, partiton?

Hybrid56 Read about testdisk somewhere, but not gonna recommend it (didn't feel user-friendly when I tried). But the thing is, running inxi on your live session pretends the SSD doesn't even exist (or does it? Correct me if I'm wrong here). So you can't even check it. Reinstall seems to be the only solution.
