Jumpy Flattered as s**t, thank you. I can edit. But as far as best practices, how to linux, and content I suck and have nothing to offer as years of my digital ineptness around here show.
And even though it seems half the mundane details of our uninteresting lives are also on display, I can't get over that 'reveal my email' barrier.
I don't IRC.
Excited about being part of any project that brings people to linux/unix, but I have to decline, unless someone can suggest an alternate channel.

Considering my poor success rate at helping other forum members combined with how often I have to take one on the chin around here , so I got that going for my esteem, and that led to my bonafide exclamation of being 'flattered as sh**'! (Likely her sentiment as well.)
I can edit however! Jumpy got the manuscripts and I'm on it. My first ideas are all toward formatting first. will talk over email from here.

Scribus is an open-source publishing tool available in the Solus repo and in Flathub..

Typora is probably one of the most intuitive, full-featured Markdown editors if you want to do editing on the fly and it's available in Flathub.

Zotero is a bibliographer tool that lets you build references. It's really powerful.. also available in Flathub.

You probably have your own workflow but I have been researching alot of office apps lately and I figured if these links had the possibility to help I should throw them out there just in case.

Thanks for your suggestions. As someone who finds Quark 10X more superior than InDesign, Scribus is a regular tool and I'm glad we have it.
Have long thought about a reference storage thang like zotero. I just cut and paste my references and pdfs, throw them in a folder, and annotate them the old fasioned way. I imagine I could save entire days with Zotero or it's clones. I was going to consider Mendeley for that but the bulk...graci
