Here is an idea:
Remove all the packages
sudo snap remove --purge <package>
REBOOT
Remove snapd
sudo eopkg rm snapd
REBOOT
Reinstall snapd
sudo eopkg it --reinstall snapd
REBOOT
Then run
sudo usysconf run -f
REBOOT
I know that is alot of reboots. You don't need all of them. However it wasn't until I rebooted my system regularly between these actions that I was able to get it working and, unfortunately, I don't know where the reboot made the difference.
You need to have everything from snap & snapd removed.
Also check and make sure what kernel you are running using:
uname -r
I had reverted to the stable version of the kernel without realizing it and that prevented me from using snaps properly IIRC.
