CorvusRuber so what do I need to do If I want to install flatpack becuase yesterday I tried: sudo eopkg install flatpak xdg-desktop-portal-gtk. It said that it was already installed but when I tried: Clam TK or I wrote "antivirus"
nothing showed up.

Batmanxx did you do the flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo step and reboot? To get ClamTK you just need to flatpak install flathub com.gitlab.davem.ClamTk but like Corvus said, it's really out of date.

eopkg is Solus package manager, it doens't handle flatpaks. To install the ClamTK flatpak (and I strongly advise against it, since as already said is not maintained by the original developer and has not been updated in more than a year, not good signs when talking about security related software) you should run this flatpak install flathub com.gitlab.davem.ClamTk.
Again, you're doing this at your own risk.

Also, you don't really need an antivirus on Linux. If you follow basic safety guidelines, you'll be safe.

The only reason to run an antivirus on Linux is if you share a lot of files with windows users (eg if you're running a server) and you don't want to get them infected.

Not available. But as others have said, by default a Linux system is a lot more resilient than Windows when it comes to malware: an antivirus is not really needed.

Batmanxx The purpose of ClamAV is to scan files to protect Windows hosts. It's generally used on email and file servers, not end-user systems.

I have a firewall up in any case, just to be safe. ufw is a very simple one to use.

Flatpak Clam cumbersome, bulky, redundant, and in the one time I tried it I could not wait to uninstall it.

I know you just got here from Windows as many of is have, but remember when even the "malware detection" programs were malware themselves? Don't miss those days at all.

True that Linux has fewer attack vectors, but things are changing, and it does hurt to have ClamAV running. In today's security world and attacker, firewalls and AV is not a silver bullet. @elfprince is right. You can also add a firewall (whatever you prefer) to it adds a layer of protection. As for ClamAV, it good for some things and it's verbose if you know how to use it. For example, suppose you are concerned about a specific malware you can a YARA Rule to detect it.

i just recently had some tough time with clamtk ,that flatpak is too old to use in 2021.
