Steam instantly closing on launch

Just got done installing the OS, installed steam and it downloaded its usual update and then closed. Now it won't launch at all and closes instantly when I open it. I have reinstalled package and I get the same issue, I am very confused. Any suggestions? I'm fairly new to linux

ahlspiess Normally after installing Solus, you do the system update, install drivers from "Hardware Drivers" in Menu including 32-bit drivers since you plan to play games with Steam. Did you do those?
