Is it possible to switch to Budgie and how?

Sry for the newbie post but is it possible and how can I switch to the Budgie desktop. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Solus website if you are in windows.
Download rufus the iso creator. download budgie .iso. Read instructions.
There are DD instructions if you are using linux.
All I'm telling you is how to create budgie LIVE .iso on a usb first.
When you create a live usb .iso you are ready for install. So you will boot up into that live .iso, on your usb drive, get the feel of it, and install it to the destination of your choice.
Get to that point.
I'm not touching dual install with a 10 foot pole but others will.

In Software Center - Budgie desktop and all dependencies. It is best to download the budgie ISO.

There may be some other issues related to switching this way.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like I have to start from scratch. I'm running Solus with Mate and like. I wanted to see what Budgie was all about. I didn't know it was a build commit 🙂

33Nicolas You don't need to start from scratch. You can run them either in parallel or you can install Budgie and remove MATE afterwards.

sudo eopkg install -c desktop.budgie installs Budgie

To install GNOME stuff that's included in Budgie ISO (Nautilus and terminal, for example) you need to run
sudo eopkg it baobab eog evince file-roller gedit gnome-calculator gnome-calendar gnome-control-center gnome-disk-utility gnome-keyring gnome-photos gnome-screenshot gnome-settings-daemon gnome-system-monitor gnome-terminal gnome-themes-standard gnome-user-docs nautilus nautilus-python onboard orca seahorse thunderbird yelp

To remove MATE, you can run sudo eopkg rm -c desktop.mate
