Solarmass elfprince Isn't sc-fi also a fantasy? π π€ π€ π€ MMB Nowadays I only watch Laika and Miyazaki Studio Ghibli movies. Do they qualify? They are all mostly Fantasy I guess. BTW we have an Anime Thread π
Solarmass WetGeek That's the title, btw in the Did You Know? section there is a Reference to the For All Mankind (1989) π
WetGeek Solarmass there is a Reference to the For All Mankind (1989) In 1989 the concept of "woke" hadn't been invented yet.
tannji WetGeek LOL, Woke was a work in progress in Academia back then, but they couldnt get enough traction, due to the Internet also being a work in progress... = )
brent I went where no man (me) has gone before: Season 9 of SG1...no O'Neil...new commander and new boss... Saw most of three epsidoes on a broadcast channel today while in and out of the kitchen. ππ remaining cast lost, no chemistry, weird, clunky...YUCK. this happens in tv land. I bailed on the xfiles after Duchovny/Mulder quit. Evidently it went on two more seasons without me...
WetGeek brent I went where no man (me) has gone before: Season 9 of SG1 At least one other man has. I've not only gone there, but I have it. I have every season of SG1 and Atlantis, and all the separate movies on my NAS. My wife and I were big fans, and bought the collections of shows we really liked. 1,921 movies (so far).
brent WetGeek do I just have the old can't-get-used-to-new-team-leader-and-new-starfleet-commander syndrome? maybe another episode or two will cure itπ?
hdansin Movies: Mad Max Fury Road Serenity Arrival Pacific Rim (first one) TV Shows: Firefly Star Trek: TOS and Voyager
brent I watched original (best) Terminator on TV last night. I must say for an 80's sci-fi suspense film, it has held up remarkably well. Thrilling ride---would recommend to anyone to see again.
brent kyrios Me too. I love looking back and trying to understand what they were trying to do with CGI in its infancy. Bolder film-making than these days, for sure.
Portreve I have a few favorites, actually. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is on the list, as is The Black Hole, 2010, the original Alien and Terminator movies, and of course the Star Wars original trilogy.
