no way of booting Solus after installation - dual boot win 10

After jumping all the hoops I have managed to run the ISO from USB on my new laptop with win 10 and installed Solus via the easy installation (install alongside your OS). But after restart it goes straight to win 10 and in BIOS there's no option for Solus/grub. So basically I can't see a way to boot Solus. I'm tempted to wipe the disk and just do a fresh install, but until another issue is resolved (no audio in Solus, something to do with "sof", but I didn't have time to get to that yet), I want to keep Win 10 to be able to work the next few days.

I have a new HP Envy 15 if that helps in any way.

Hit f9 while booting, that should give you the option to select Solus.

f9 (the boot menu for your machine) might give you the Solus / "Linux Boot Manager" option, or it might not. That list from efibootmgr doesn't give me much hope, though I don't know what "Solid State Disk" means in terms of things on the ESP/EFI partition.

Depending on how your system is set up, you might try booting off "Boot0002* Solid State Disk".

I use a dual-drive, dual-boot setup with distinct EFI partitions on each drive (that is, Windows 10 is installed on Disk 0 (EFI partition using Windows Boot Manager), Solus on Disk 2 (EFI partition using Solus boot). When I access boot options (F12 on Dell), I have two choices: "Windows Boot Manager" and "UEFI PNY CS1311", the latter being the drive on which Solus is installed. When I boot from "UEFI PNY CS1311", Solus boots.

I'm not hopeful that this will work, because you seem to have set up single-drive dual-boot (that is, Windows and Solus are both installed on Drive 0, using a single EFI partition) but it might be worth the minute it takes to try it.
