Hi,
Machine was dual booting windows 10 and Manjaro via EFI boot and the grub menu, which Manjaro employs. Their bootloaders were installed in the same ESP partition, which resides on the Manjaro disk.
I just installed Solus 4.2 (EFI) choosing to replace Manjaro and install the bootloader on the same disk (where the ESP is) (there's no choice either).
Upon reboot the machine says "error: file '/boot/grub/x86_64-efi/normal.mod not found. Entering rescue mode.."
(Win 10 is still available if chosen via the motherboards firmware, that's from where I'm writing this)
Everything important on this disk is backed up and if I loose the ability to boot into Windows somehow that's not a calamity either. In truth I wasn't sure what going from having installed Manjaro the EFI way which still employs grub to Solus EFI which does not employ grub would do but was hoping for the best. Unfortunately a bit of internet searching hasn't revelealed a likely path to victory.
What can I do to alleviate the situation short of erasing the entire disk? Any advice welcome : )
