Hi,

I'm using an optimus gtx 1050 nvidia. I've installed the driver and it's working well.
However I can't unplug my laptop for more than 1hour...

Should I do some tweaks to improve the battery life on Solus ? Can I switch with my Intel GPU when I don't need Nvidia (When I don't play). Will I lost performance if I remove nouveau ?

I'm a bit lost with Optimus atm. I've left a lot of distro cause of a bad support of this one but I don't want to leave solus Tbh.

Could you help me a bit to find a good "solus setup" to manage well my GPU ?

Sorry if I've made some mistakes. I'm french 😀

Currently Optimus is only supported in "always on" or "always off" mode.
To switch to always off mode, uninstall the nvidia driver and reboot (you may also blacklist nouveau to make sure you use the intel iGPU). When you want to use the nvida dGPU, install back the nvidia driver (and reboot).

kyrios How should I blacklist nouveau ?

I've seen that Ubuntu use something to switch between Optimus & IGPU. Is it true and will we be able to do it on solus ?
