I remember there were 3 categories of updates, but now I see only 1.
Something has changed?

Yea so this was the result of a solus-sc package update in December that pushed the git commit we used to one which occurred after one which moved everything into Available Updates. We just hadn't really needed to update the package itself until I went and dropped the PPAPI / NPAPI entries before Adobe EOL'ed Flash.

The intent of the commit was to prevent folks from cherrypicking updates and thus risk breaking their systems. The idea moving forward is to only really permit upgrade exclusions via eopkg itself, at the very least until we have a more robust package manager (sol) in place to re-evaluate it.

Speaking of which (and knowing full well that it's ready when it's ready and no ETA, thank you very much), how's going the development of sol ?

Going to link an old post, but I think its still relevant considering last stream (4 days ago) Bryan was working on abi-wizard and from memory said he would have to speak to Josh about deciding what the next high priority item would be, which he perhaps begrudgingly / jokingly suggested would probably be ferryd.

An to my understanding, he still has to use the tool he was working on to scan the entire binary repository getting symbol usage, then spending hours uploading those reports to the source repo. In an attempt to help reduce the packages Joey will need to rebuild for a gcc & glibc update, down from something like 1,500~ packages.
