Strawberry not starting after yesterday updates

Hello,
after updating my PC and Notebook, Strawberry isn't starting on both maschines.
I found the following error in the log:

kf.kio.gui: Failed to register new cgroup: "app-org.strawberrymusicplayer.strawberry-c59de0f6f4694e62a0927a429d0f27ef.scope" "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnixProcessIdUnknown" "Process with ID 1107 does not exist."

Update again. I believe there was a post sync update to resolve this. I had not launched strawberry in a few days prior so didn't catch the breakages, my apologies.

I don't know what might have happened with Strawberry, but I do know that requests generally work far better than commands in a situation such as this.

Strawberry Ah yes, because making demands to volunteers is the best way of getting what you want.

Maybe, just maybe, if @Harvey is kind enough to ignore your attitude and lack of respect for his free time, he may decide to look into this, or look into why it may not be integrated as well in your system anymore.

But I sure wouldn't have that expectation of him.

Strawberry 🤔 I have never used that particular piece of software. However, you can try uninstalling it, clearing the cache by using sudo eopkg dc in the terminal and reinstalling it.

Strawberry just launched mine. it's a little different but functional and not unattractive. My main and menu windows seem 3 football fields long, but respond fine to the minimize window which puts it at normal. Dude, this app is fine, I'm playing music right now

I'd never seen Strawberry, so I can't offer an opinion regarding older vs. current, but I'm trying it now for the first time. I've been a fan of Eliza for a long time, so that's what I'll be comparing it to.

At first glance, I like it. I have't tried listening to anything yet, because I'm watching the qualifications for tomorrow's Formula1 race, but I like what I've seen on the laptop to install it on the media machine next. When the qualifications are done, I'll give it a workout there.

And no, there was no problem installing it from eopkg.

WetGeek the thing about foss is there truly is (like a 100?) a music player for everyone. I tried several. Like your Eliza, it just agreed with me. It has a new look now but change is change. It plays music and shows album cover art.🙂

It's on the media machine now, and I like the UI. I'm sure the quality of the music is the same as with Eliza, at least as far as I can tell. I just used all the defaults to start with. I'll examine the settings more carefully when I have more time. I'm sure I could delete my other three or four music players and be happy with Strawberry.
