Solarmass Good lord this is the french Peaches without the, umm, film. I watched XXL live and her band is male and female musicians in sawed-off priest and nun uniforms running through hair-band sounds. Was deliriously happy!

JoshStrobl Hypnotic and trance-y in a good way.. Hear the places where her voice emulates a trumpet? Playing it 3 times in a row I could get some real work done, which is something. They need to release a version with a more crashy percussion then perfection. Dig it. I like what they are doing here.

Bruce-McL What a great song. Great band. I didn't recognize a musician's name on this live recording which is the best kind of band, I lost track of Mr Alvin. This is a great sound for him. This was '02. Bakersfield nod, yes, especially Mama Tried. I am a Buck fan and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Buck-Dwight-Flaco Jiminez song (Owen's Streets of B) the best. Call me crazy. After a couple songs I heard the Texas of Waylon and the California of folkie John Stewart.

brent Streets of Bakersfield with Buck, Dwight, and Flaco is one of my favorites. Accordion player Flaco Jimenez has played with a lot of people I like, including Doug Sahm, Ry Cooder, and Peter Rowan.
