So, just to get this out there (and hopefully out of my head): People in Indonesia seems to love two songs in particular (at least currently), and those are "What's up" by 4 Non Blondes, and "Always" by Bon Jovi. I heard them on the radio. I saw them on MTV on the two occasions that I had access to a TV. I heard them played on acoustic guitar and sang by an Indonesian guy and his (girl)friend during a beautiful sunset at the ocean. I have no idea why those songs are so popular over there but now they're stuck in my head.

If anyone has an idea why those songs are so popular right now, please tell me!

Staudey Beats me. tv show? movie?. you know how many youtube comments start with 'the X show brought me here'? In the case of 4nonblondes that song never really faded..for the 90's it has a timeless (not dated) feel to it and has withstood the test of time. In other words, it never went away. I've seen it in movies, tv shows etc.

As to BonJovi, I can't for the life of me, explain the enduring following of this truly mediocre artist🙂

Very imaginative video. He kept veering over into the oncoming lane, and all during the song I was waiting for a big truck to appear there, forcing him back onto his side of the road, but nothing like that ever happened.

For some reason, neither I nor my circle of friends were ever exposed to Bowie back in the day. Thanks for posting that.
