Hi all!
So here it goes, I finally switched to full linux (which I'm super happy and excited about).
I installed Solus Budgie on a Dell XPS 7590, which was my first complete linux install on my own. Everything worked straight out of the box, except for brightness control cause I have an OLED screen, but I was able to fix that with brightness (thanks Solus community!).
However, and you might find this stupid, I'm just wondering if I did everything right and and if there is a way to check that. As this was the first time I did everything on my own (going to bios to change parameters, usb live key, installing Solus...). For example, when I'm rebooting or shutting down, a couple of messages briefly appear on the top left corner of the screen, which I don't have the time to read (plus they are super small). As I am a fairly new and inexperienced user, I just don't know if that's normal or not. So, any help or tips would be appreciated!
