martmix Is there an applet or widget available for Solus Budgie to display the date and time on the desktop wallpaper? I can' t find any in the software center.
Brucehankins martmix Use a conky. You can download Conky Manager from the software center, it has some preloaded ones that you can use. There is also Conky Manager 2 which is a forked version on GitHub.
davidjharder martmix variety (wallpaper manager/switcher) can display date + time. Variety by default is set to download from a bunch of free sources and rotate through images.
JoshStrobl Bouquins There is no such thing as "solus-extras" and the "showtime" applet is not accepted for inclusion in the budgie-extras package. Each applet accepted has been done so by myself. In the case of Showtime, frankly I'd rather they actually contribute to the upstream Clock applet rather than having yet another re-invention of the wheel.
WetGeek JoshStrobl budgie-extras package I'm curious about what all is included in this. The Software Center only mentions translations for certain widgets. Is there more to it than that? I'm wondering whether I should install it on my Budgie machines. Since English is my first language, translations don't hold much interest for me.

JoshStrobl WetGeek Is there more to it than that? They get split into different packages so you don't have to install all the applets. The main package is just used for common translations.
