moore-bryan As I understand it, the NVMe/kernel issue is not universal, because different NVMe drives use different controllers. Some NVMe drives work with 5.7, 5.8 and 5.9; others do not. A number of specific drives with the issue have been identified on various forums (the Samsung 970/980 Pro series is reported as affected, but the Samsung PM 900 series is not, for instance). You may have an NMVe drive that is not affected, which is why it runs fine on Manjaro's 5.8.18 kernel.
My understanding is that the Solus team has been testing 5.10 (which resolves the issue) for inclusion in Solus 4.2, under active development and to be released when it is ready. Based on what I've been reading about 4.2 on this forum, it won't be long before you can come back to Solus.
