Just so you're aware though, you basically need to live in the development IRC channel and check that before updating (we always update the topic when someone shouldn't update in case of major breakage at the time, like if we're in the middle of an upgrade spanning a bunch of software). If you look at the GNOME 3.38 testing task, there is instructions there for switching to the unstable repo. I won't put them here because I feel sometimes folks underestimate how much churn there is on unstable, don't follow our advice of checking IRC, and end up with a broken system 😛
