How often do you use desktop icons?

Can't use them for a long time because I've removed a Nautilus. Now I install a Nautilus again, but I disabled desktop icons in settings.
Picked a «Sometimes» option.

Desktop icons are neat for my flawless-running games on solus. They're like a shelf or an archievement for me. It's nice to have them.

Coming from Windows, I've always been used to having some icons on the desktop, and I still do. I know It might sound weird, but having them kinda helped me switch to Linux for good, I guess it's just a matter of habit 😄

I don't use desktop icons.

Being a long-time GNOME user, I simply grew accustomed to not using them.

Almost always I leave desktop icons hidden, but, once every few years I find them useful while shuffling files. If the desktop icons were no longer available, I would not mind.

I love Desktop Icons. For me a "real" Desktop has an Icon for the Home-folder, the Network and so on.

The Problem is, if you are able to put your own files/links at your desktop, over the time you have many waste laying around. So you have to cleanup or you are a disciplinated guy from the beginning...

For the last 12 month (or more) I never used my desktop icons (even not the trash) and I don't put some new ones on the desktop and this works too.

I have some links in the Budgie Icon list an I use Plank, thats enough.

I think I could live whitout Desktop Icons....

I only use it to show the mounted drive. Nothing else.
