tz2000 Hello, I'm looking for a program that can compare files from two directories side by side. I used to use Beyond Compare, but I can't find anything similar for Solus. Any suggestions? First post btw, please point me in the right direction if this is not where it belongs.
WetGeek tz2000 I used to use Beyond Compare Beyond Compare is what I use on Solus. If you check their web site, you'll find that they've had a Linux version for a long time.
inkbug tz2000 Double Commander has a compare-by-content tool. Krusader probably does too, but I haven't used it enough to know.
tz2000 WetGeek Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how did you install it? I thought you could only use eopkg
WetGeek tz2000 how did you install it On the download site, choose the .tar.gz download. It's been a long time since I installed it, but as I remember, there are build instructions that are very easy to follow. I do remember that I had no problems with it.
downhill Just to add to the list...I used to use ExamDiff Pro on Windows and then under Wine under Linux for awhile until I discovered Meld. However, it's not free and requires an annual payment if you want to continue getting updates. ExamDiff Pro is a really nice diffing tool though.
