brent the point isnt that "solus must do it becuase others do it" , although that fact does support my argument. The point is that if solus is all about "sane defaults", then why wouldn't a shortcut for the terminal be included?
considering how easy it would be for the solus devs to add, I'm a bit baffled as to why something so simple isnt there, especially considering how useful it would be to many users workflows - if not in general.
Its almost as if other distros have figured out how useful (and sane) having easy access to the terminal would be, why hasn't solus figured this out yet?

Our intent is to provide an out-of-the-box experience with sane defaults. Having a productivity suite, audio, and video players is a sane thing to do."
my argument hinges on the assumption that having a shortcut to the terminal(which is undoubtedly useful in Linux) is the sane thing to do. If you disagree with that assumption then we can talk about it, but i think it would be pretty hard to convince me (or many linux users) that having easy access to the terminal isnt the (sane/ useful) thing to do on a linux distribution.
to further my point, having a default keybinding for the terminal would be a net positive for the user-base as those who do not use a shortcut for their terminal will not be affected either way, but for users like me, it would have a positive impact.
