I have seen this and hope solus will add homed, another use could be migrating systems without losing your home directory as all user information is stored separately.

In it's current state, systemd-homed is a jumbled mess. When I saw Lennart's original talk on it, I was shocked that he released it in the state it was in. Especially considering it can't even handle something as simple as key-based SSH auth. If you want an encrypted homedir, ecryptfs has a much longer (and better) track record and is on my list of things to look at for the next version of the installer.

clauded Ubuntu don't always make good decisions.

As for fscrypt, I'll look at it, but no promises.

2 years later, any chance to enable systemd-homed in Solus? I dual boot with Windows and would really like to have my home dir encrypted.
