I'm about to re-install Solus and I've backed up the configuration files that are important to me, however I would like to back up my desktop settings installed packages. I was wondering if:
- I can backup my desktop settings (couldn't find anything in
~/.config)
- I can export a list of packages that I have installed? I am aware I can create a list via
eopkg list | cut -d ' ' -f 1, but would like it if I had something that automatically update a file somewhere that I can update? Or alternatively, am I able to hook into the shutdown command and create the file on shutdown or even on post installation of a package?
My reason for this would be to keep a backup of my setup so if anything were to happen to my desktop - or I get a laptop - I can always stay with my current setup without loosing what I am used to.
