App Launcher for RealVNC Viewer

I have installed RealVNC Viewer from their generic script:

https://www.realvnc.com/download/file/viewer.files/VNC-Viewer-6.20.529-Linux-x64-ANY.tar.gz

It installs without issue, and I can run it from the command line with the following command:

_{/Downloads/VNC-Viewer-6.20.529-Linux-x64} $ ./vncviewer

I would like to add this to my bottom panel "Icon Task List". Is there a way to accomplish this? If not, can I create a desktop launcher?

jacknash Just use menulibre. Install it and you will find it as "Menu Editor" in menu. With this tool you can create a desktop launcher, then you can add it to "Icon Task List". There are already a lot of posts in the forum that explains how to use it.

Another option is to make manually a desktop file as vncviewer.desktopfor example and save it to $HOME/.local/share/applications/
