Hi,

When I try to run subj the following message has appeared:
$ /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/selfservice
selfservice is unable to find a compatible webkit library and will now exit.
Please install libwebkitgtk-1.0 and restart selfservice.

But webkit is already installed to the system:
$ eopkg list-installed | grep webkit
libwebkit-gtk - Web rendering engine
qt5-webkit

Any suggestions?

brg,
Serhiy.

    I looked into installing citrix for work in March but it looked too hard. Their website package targz for linux was last updated in 2018 and it's looking for webkitgtk version 1.0, also from 2018. In the repo solus is on like 4.x.x. or something.
    No amount of linux forum threads on the web could convince me to put in the work.

    Here, this person was successful: https://discuss.getsol.us/d/44-citrix-receiver but they didn't have a libwebkit problem as I could interpret.

    gray380 I've got Citrix Workspace running on Solus and Ubuntu budgie successfully. I'll post quick instructions with links and some screenshots tomorrow morning for you.

    Download the Citrix Workspace 2006 tarball from here

    Extract the file and go into the folder linuxx64-20.06.0.15

    Open a terminal inside this folder not sure if you need to, but I use sudo su and run everything as root and run script ./setupwfc

    1 to install Citrix Workspace app for Linux 20.06.0
    Enter the directory /opt/Citrix/ICAClient
    y to proceed with installation screenshot so previous install, I upgraded from 20.04 to 20.06

    y to us GStreamer support. USB support is your choice, I said yes, but it didn't work properly
    3 to Quit
    reboot or sudo reboot
    Launch Citrix and log in with your provided credentials

    Select the appropriate desktop environment

      2 months later

      Brucehankins you tha man, I have been asking around here and Reddit for over a year, finally came back to Solus from Windows to try your method, works. Only issue is with the SSL in my environment, any idea if I can resolve with intervention from my IT?

        oblvnnwtnjhn got past this with this tutorial https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/407670-citrix-workspace-1912019-on-linux-targz-installation-not-integrating-plugin/#comment-2060707 but now facing another error Cannot find an ICA file or appserv.ini entry. I see mention during install of identifying browsers, at the time install, I did not have Brave/Chromium install. Thinking I need to run installer again to identify Brave as this won't work with FF.

        EDIT: ran installer again, same issue with ICA/appserv.ini persists.

          oblvnnwtnjhn I haven't seen this error before. Not sure if the browser would make that much of a difference since most are based on Chromium. I use Opera and didn't hit this snag. Hopefully someone with a little more know-how than me can help out

          I'm using Cirix Workspace (current version) for a long time now on different OSs like Solus/Ubuntu/Mint/Win10. Never had a problem.
          Download tarball, unzip, install. Update certificates.
          Use this posting as an example how to do it.

            [deleted] I looked through, that seems to all be CERT issues which I have seemingly resolved with Bruce's tutorial. My issue now is with the .ica file, it's not downloading or being referenced, just this error " Cannot find an ICA file or appserv.ini entry." though I did find a "launch.ica file in tmp. when clicked it throws this error. So it appears there's a directory and/or missing component issue.

              [deleted] it must be the way our Citrix stores are setup, because we have airgap estates store that loaded the Citrix install fine even in Firefox, but same error with our regular stores environment. For now, the Workspace Chrome Store app works fine. I have a regular work PC, just wanted a backup and with my large format monitor. Thanks all for the help.
