Good to know. Except for my wife, who's not technical, I'm the only one here, so I'll leave it as it is.
I set it to temporary, so I could match your example, and still no sound. Then I rebooted, and when I looked at the setting again there was a message saying that Bluetooth wasn't visible, and asked if I wanted to fix it, So I clicked to do that. That changed the setting back to "always." And still no sound.
I think Plasma has altogether too many hoops to jump through to get this sort of thing working. Budgie simply "just works" without any complicated setup required. Just my opinion, of course.
