Chinese bopomofo/Japanese anthy don't work

I want to be able to type in Chinese bopomofo and Japanese, so I installed the respective packages as advised. However, when I go into settings and add those input methods, they don't actually show up in the keyboard shortcut where I can select different input methods. I have tried looking around for a solution, but the only one I found doesn't work. I can't select those input methods nor type in those input methods. Does anyone know how to fix this? It seems that the threads concerning this issue are all over a year old. Any help is greatly appreciated.

ahaaa Rime is already available. After this week's sync, Rime's wubi and all other input schenas should be available now. However, since they are not automatically added to the input method selection panel, you have to manually add them to ~/.config/ibus/rime/default.custom.yaml:

  schema_list/+:
    - schema: wubi86

Also unlike other distros (e.g. Arch), we don't have separate packages for all the Rime input schemas/components. sudo eopkg it ibus-rime installs everything for you. Unfortunately, fcitx-rime is not available yet, so you have to stick with IBus for now 😛
