Change Thunderbird's application font?

On my laptop's HD screen, the text on Thunderbird's main screen is uncomfortably small. But changes to the fonts in the preferences settings affects only the text used while creating a message. There must be a setting somewhere that will affect the text used in Thunderbird, itself. Does anyone here know where that would be?

Rabbit hole indeed! Thanks for finding that, but I think I'll wait for the next couple of updates, and see if Mozilla actually fixes it. There seem to be a lot of folks complaining about the same thing.

It should only require one extra setting in Preferences.

I agree it should be a settings option.

And 'workarounds' are a big part of this forum and the others. I'm OK with that. My own brain, wetgeek, is split in two. Distros would love linux to be effortless like the better parts of WIN and I like instant...the other brain half says I love it out here in the wild west (linux). Something always gives🙂
