You guys are amazing, thanks to you I am currently using the best OS in the world, I see that you do lot of work for example with budgie, software center, the installer, etc.

My suggestion is using the Calamares installer as other distributions are doing now because you will have less work to do and a installer that is polished (even Debian is using it).

    Please don't generalize. Debian started to use calamares in Buster for live images only. Calamares won't replace native Debian Installer in thorough Debian installation.

      We have zero interest in using Calamares. The installation process can make or break a good first impression with a Linux distro. We have no intention of placing that responsibility in the hands of an upstream project. Ever.

        just I know that is the live installer but also other distros like Manjaro so I think that is a tool that is going to have a good future, but that's not the point, what I wanted to say is that if the Solus team have lot of things to maintain the calamares installer is a good option to have one thing less to develop and have more time to focus on other things
