How to change the login screen wallpaper?

My login screen wallpaper is basically my Desktop Wallpaper. How do I change my login screen wallpaper to be a different one?

To be precise, by the login screen, I mean the screen that flashes right after we boot into the system and enter our password (if any) and log into my user account.

snowden17_38 If you are using Budgie, there is an easy and GUI way with lightdm-settings.

Install it and then just run on terminal sudo lightdm-settings or find Login Window on menu.
Click on Backgrounds and there choose another wallpaper.
Make sure to have unchecked Draw user backgrouds option.

algent Thanks a lot! I tried a lot using lightdm-gtk-greeter and lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings but none of those worked. I was probably going wrong somewhere, but it was setting the login screen wallpaper back to the default Desktop Wallpaper (Pines.jpg in /usr/share/backgrounds/solus) instead of the one I had set. Pines.jpg wasn't even set as my Desktop Wallpaper.

Maybe you can reuse some of the steps I had to do, mentioned in this post: https://discuss.getsol.us/d/3884-after-trying-a-lot-of-different-de-s-budgie-is-my-favorite-one/17

Read the whole thing before trying anything, because one of the later steps (e.g. moving the image to a root location first) may have fixed some things I deemed broken in the first steps.
