Fixed FPS to 60

Hi guys, for some reason minecraft is fixed to 60 fps when playing on versions below 1.15.
Also for some reason when using labymod fullscreen mode doesn't hide the top bar.

For the Fps, it is simple. Just go to video settings, and turn off the "Use Vsync" thing. You are welcome ^^

Getta91 I didn't mean to sound rude, but I wanted to establish that I'm not an absolute idiot.
I've tried that already, in 1.15.2 I get above 60 FPS, I've tested only 1.8.9 and 1.12.2 and 1.15.2 (1.8.9 and 1.12.2 only 60 FPS locked).

I just turned vsync off and I get over 111FPS.

livingsilver94 I ran the game in fullscreen on 1.8.9 and 1.12.2 and it doesn't go into complete fullscreen mode but rather leaves the top bar visible and sometimes do some funky stuff with my mouse. I will have to investigate further.

I don't play Minecraft, but are you sure you're not running the game in a borderless window? IDK even if borderless is a thing on Linux but using the DE compositor would certainly cap the FPS.

As many of you don't seem to understand my issue, here is a graphical explanation.

As you can see, in LabyMod 1.8.9 I get 60 fps locked (don't mind the fps there it's because of shaders).
On 1.15.2 Optifine I get a lot more FPS.

Your wording is quite blunt...

But you've solved the issue yourself. A mod is causing the limit, you have mentioned here yourself that it doesn't happen without the mod.

I just installed Minecraft with Optifine just to try it and I get framerates above 60 fps with both 1.15.2 and 1.8.9
Must be a setting somewhere that you missed.

Justin no, it happens without the client. I tested with 1.8.9 optifine too.

Neeonn have you tried going in hardware drivers and check if you have something to install? Like drivers for your graphic card?
