Hi
So I played in many distros but I have problem with VGA output like screen tearing, If I remove the open-source driver and install proprietary (NVidia) driver, VGA output is going to be better so my question is:
-What driver solus use by default?
-Can I install the proprietary driver in solus?
-Or I just take my VGA card out and use the intel onboard VGA?

My VGA card is GTX 750 TI
My Onboard VGA is Intel HD Graphics 4600

    • Solus uses the nouveau driver by default for NVIDIA cards (the open source driver)
    • Yes
    • You can do either, it's entirely up to you.

Edit: If you don't play games remove the NVIDIA card and use the onboard graphics, it'll save you money on power.

I agree if you dont need the power for games or video editing the intel graphics will do great I wish linux would get intel quicksync support tho.
