Drewfus like the tag says, I updated, then opened a drive, and all folders and file names containing the string "fi" have been have been changed to "*". example: audio files is now audio *les , etc. What gives???
Drewfus actually, seems to be happening to all folders and file names that contain the letter "f" in them.
Drewfus assumed my region/language changed somehow during the update, and region/language settings refused to open. Reboot and all seems ok again.
SOLUSfiddler Are there still people who DON'T update their computer after updates?? Maybe it was a new virus, ha ha ha...
elfprince Usually I update on Fridays, and restart on Saturday. Don't feel like restarting right after update and having to restart all my tabs and programs... lazy bum-like. 🤣
JoshStrobl elfprince Honestly I do the same thing even if I know my system is going to be in a really weird state. Like I updated and was like "eh, I know there is supposed to be an "fi" there, I'll just continue updating packages and restart later 😃
brent elfprince I ain't ocd about many things...but immediate reboot after updates even if there's a lot of waiting is mandatory. I'd rather know NOW if problems....but "Lazy bum-like" describes my normal M.O. quite well😉
