Elisa won't play music cd

I click on the music CD and the message "Could not find any application or handler..."

I am using Solus Plasma. Usually when I insert a cd with say Zorin, a dialogue box pops up asking which program should be used to open the CD and it's all straightforward form there.

Can't answer the first part.

Can answer the 2nd part: you can control what solus does with cd/dvd media in system settings, I believe.

brent Yes Solus is set to use the default music player on Plasma, namely Elisa.

I guess people don't use Cd's any more.

lekkerlinux can confirm, dont have any cd/DVD player in my system anymore, so I'd need some help trouble shooting it by someone else.

@Girtablulu#29851 I first tried Solus MATE and when I inserted a music CD, everything worked like it should with Rhythmbox.

I only found that error message while sing Solus Plasma.

In the past I tried other distros and other music player. Only Rhythmbox and Gnome and it's forks work.

Everything else either doesn't work at all or the program, like Clementine throws the tracks in all direction in many places, instead of one folder.

Personally I have found Gnome/Budgie/MATE are the most reliable desktop environments, whether it's running on Ubuntu or Arch or whatever. Everything just works.

I don't know why.
