sgvd I am looking for the problem somewhere in Solus/Linux.
Although I've used Visual Studio for decades to write C# code, I'm very new with both VSCode, and Python, so I'm not very familiar with the extensions that are available.
I've been using VSCode to write Python code for several days now, as I work my way through the crash course book I mentioned in a previous message. When I used it for the first time a notification stated that Python something-or-other is available, and would I like to load it? It didn't sound as if it would harm anything, so I did.
Everything's worked perfectly on Solus 4.1 Budgie since then, including syntax coloring and extensive debugging. Could this be the Python extension you're talking about?
If not, I'll try to load it based on the name in your message, and see what luck I have. If there's a problem, maybe I can get some error information to help us.
