How to install Zoom

@yacn I can't find built eopkgs on yours, do I have to build myself?
For everyone that is running the binary edition, the zoom binary refuses...to...work! the binary zoomlinux literally does nothing, and ZoomLauncher gives me a "Zoom crashed" report before opening zoom. The only thing that works is using zoom.sh, but since it asks me if I want to change the location for core dumps every time, I still think that it's crashing, just not telling me. Using the flatpak for now, which works well except I have to re press login with google every time (though it saves my credentials)

DataDrake How do you do this? Everyone says use flatpak, but I feel kind of dumb. I don't know what to do with it.

DataDrake The flatpak works well, do you also have to re-sign in every time though?

gsbhasin123 I use Zoom installed as a flatpak regularly, and you do not have to re-sign in each time. Occasionally on an update, but not usually.

I've had trouble with Zoom crashing after running for few minutes, but this happens no matter the package install method (flatpak or snap, not sure about tarball). It doesn't happen every time, but often. I've decided to stick with flatpak though. When I get the crash I find I need to do these steps:

sudo flatpak repair
sudo flatpak permission-reset us.zoom.Zoom
reboot

Super annoying...

Profile is not installed: Did you forget to init?

Do I need to switch to unstable? If so where can I find instructions to do that, I have been wanting to do that for quite a while anyways.

You are telling it to build with the unstable-x86_64 profile, when you want main-x86_64
You haven't downloaded the chroot image that solbuild uses for compilation. You need to sudo solbuild init -p main-x86_64 first.

gsbhasin123 Please don't. Zoom's license doesn't allow redistribution. @yacn had to remove his pre-built packages for the same reason.

Hello, I am new to Solus but I would like to ask if you couldn't just use the .deb package and extract it? That is the way that I'm using Zoom. I don't know if it auto-updates yet but the application itself runs fine. Can I possibly get a confirmation that my method is viable?
