Off-topic but i'll just point out that historically Intel has always been good at supporting Linux, also AMD does not make their own network chipsets. Odds are you have something from Intel or Realtek for networking even if you went AMD. Example I have AMD hardware, I chose a motherboard that uses Intel for its networking instead of realtek as Intel tends to have less issues.
