aeroplain I can't figure what could cause this or what logs I need to present that would be related to this.
marc0tjevp I've been using indicator-kdeconnect, works great and looks a lot better. I am not sure why the normal indicator isn't showing up though. https://github.com/Bajoja/indicator-kdeconnect
aeroplain marc0tjevp I installed this through Flatpak and... nothing changed. What should I try next?
aeroplain Could having superfluous packages installed cause this? Here is a list of my installed packages.
Boggle247 I'm new to Solus and would like kdeconnect, is there a way to install flat packs and or snaps in the software center? And have you used gsconnect? I don't really understand what it does.
Justin Boggle247 Not via the software center but snaps/flatpak can be installed from a Terminal. GSConnect is GNOME Shell Connect for better integration into GNOME shell.
Boggle247 Justin I see. How do I install gnome shell connect? I tried this https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1319/gsconnect/ I selected my version of gnome and the latest extension and it downloaded a zip file. How do I install that? edit: nvm. I had checked the github wiki before: https://github.com/andyholmes/gnome-shell-extension-gsconnect/wiki/Installation#install-from-zip but only saw that it tells you to go to the extensions.gnome.org link above, but then I scrolled down and found the instructions for installing via zip. As I said I'm new to solus, loving it so far! Much smoother and fewer issues than I had a year and a half ago when I tried it. Thanks!
