hnrtk Hi there
I have been using the following solution for about 6 months.
Works flawlessly.
if i need nvidia power, for example to play, or otherwise, i switch to nvidia.
and then back to intel for normal, simple use.
the first link leads you to the simple variant. you have to install them by hand. that is easier than you think. however, you always have to use the terminal to switch.
the second link leads you to an 'improved' variant, which also includes a graphical user interface. and, this variant offers an installation script.
i discovered the second variant later and installed the gui afterwards.
runs or works perfectly.

Quinix
Both your hyperlinks link back to this post, so maybe you could change that for us to actually get to the github page?
Thanks!
(Of course I can copy & paste the link manually but that doesn't change the fact that your hyperlinks are wrong. )
SOLUSfiddler
I posted this with the link function here in the forum. that this has this effect is due to the forum, and not to me.
I noticed this strange fact myself. in spite of the embedding it happens. maybe a bug in the froum?
and, copy and paste doesn't hurt. and it's not a big job. ;-)
Quinix It's not the forum software, it's your use of it. Works perfectly for me.
Quinix What's the advantage of doing this? I'm not asking you to explain it to me; I don't expect you have time for that. But is there a specific article, technical video, etc. that does a particularly good job of explaning this? Upon installing Solus, I simply installed the NVIDIA drivers with DoFlicky, and haven't really touched them since, aside from my eternal SLI struggle.
