downhill For the longest time I've been unable to stream live video from a security camera using VLC under Solus. Earlier today, I discovered why. Following are the steps to enable RTSP streaming under VLC: From the VLC menu bar, select Tools - Preferences. On the Interface page, click the All radio button under Show settings in the lower left corner. Select Input/Codecs - RTP/RTSP in the left navigation pane. On the right side, click the Use RTP over RTSP (TCP) checkbox and then click the Save button in the lower right corner to save your changes.
